Miyako was born from the desire to create sustainable lingerie and loungewear that blends modern sensuality with old-world romance.
It is a passion project for the brand's directors, Sarah Lamkin and Charlotte Collins, who share over 15 years of combined experience in the fashion industry across design, sales and marketing. Having both worked for some of Australia's most iconic womenswear brands (Spell, She Made Me, Stevie May & Talulah), Miyako is an opportunity to create something uniquely them.
Dreamed up in Byron Bay, the brand’s range features separates, bodysuits and dresses to celebrate the female form and empower the wearer. Delicate lace in lady-like hues are a nod to nostalgic nightwear from a time gone by, while the brand name’s Japanese origins are reflected in classic design lines and thoughtful details.
The brand continues to take small steps towards more sustainable design, with their latest collection 'Le Matin' the first to be crafted from 100% GOTS certified organic cotton. Read more about the brand's sustainable practices via the Sustainability page.
